The present writ petition is filed challenging the impugned order dated 22.07.2019 levying property tax on four shops for the year 2017-18 on the premise that though the four shops actually measure 119 to 200 sq.feet, for two of the shops, the extent of the shop has been wrongly assumed to be 400 sq.feet. As a result, levy of property tax has been challenged on the premise that it suffers from error apparent on the face of the record.

2. On this being pointed out, the learned counsel for Respondents would submit that they would redo the assessment in respect of Shop Nos.2 and 4.

3. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Respondents to redo the assessment of property tax in respect of two properties/shops, the extent of which is assumed to be 400 sq.feet, after affording the petitioner a reasonable opportunity of hearing and in accordance with law within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
