There is no appearance on behalf of the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the respondent. 3.The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to transfer C.C.No.1577 of 2016 now pending on the file of the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town Court, Chennai to any Magistrate Court in Madurai.
4.Dr.S.S.Swaminathan, learned counsel for the respondent, however, stated that the petitions which were pending before the Courts in Madurai particularly, the original petitions before the Family Court, Madurai, had already been disposed of and therefore, even if the present petition is transferred to any competent court in Madurai, no effective advantage would accrue to the petition herein.
5.Let the trial continue before the XVI Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town Court, Chennai, as originally instituted. Hence, the present Criminal Original Petition is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
dismissed. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
