ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard.
2. In response to the allegation of willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court dated 17.4.2024, learned State counsel would submit that, in compliance of the order passed by this Court, various proceedings invoking the provisions of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905 were drawn and eviction order was passed. An appeal filed against that order was dismissed by the District Collector on 14.10.2025 and, therefore, appropriate proceedings for removal of encroachment shall be taken.
3. Placing on record the aforesaid statement, the contempt petition is closed at this stage. In case the encroachment is not removed within a period of two months, the petitioner would be at liberty to revive the contempt petition. There shall be no order as to costs.
