O R D E R

This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in S.C.No.403 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai.

2.Today, the petitioners and the 2nd respondent are present before this Court. It is seen that the alleged offences attributed against the petitioners are under Sections 342, 323 and 307 IPC and 4 of TN Woman Harassment Act. It is the dispute between the spouses.

3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent filed a memo of compromise stating that the matter has been settled.

4.Considering the memo of compromise, this Court is of the opinion that no useful purpose would be served by keeping the matter pending. Therefore, the entire proceedings in S.C.No.403 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Judge, Mahila Court, Chennai, in respect of the petitioners, is hereby quashed and this Criminal Original Petition is allowed accordingly. The Memorandum of compromise shall form part of the order of this Court. Connected Crl.M.P.is closed.
