Respondents in both the writ petitions Writ Petition No.25670 of 2022 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned Election Notification in Na.Ka.No.8102/2022/Uethe2 dated 12.09.2022 issued by the 1st respondent only in respect of indirect election of Chairman,

Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to hold the direct election in respect of Ward No.11 of Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District and thereafter only to hold the indirect election in respect of Chairman, Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District.

Writ Petition No.24171 of 2022 is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records relating to the impugned Election Notification in Na.Ka.No.7793/2022/Uethe2 dated 24.08.2022 issued by the 1st respondent only in respect of indirect election of Chairman, Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District and quash the same as illegal and consequently direct the respondents to hold the direct election in respect of Ward No.11 of Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District and thereafter only to hold the indirect election in respect of Chairman, Muthukulathur Panchayat Union, Ramanathapuram District.
