ORDER

The defacto complainant/petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation and file the final report without further delay.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.

3. The First Information Report has been registered in this case on 18.06.2015 by the respondent police in Crime No.8 of 2015 for offences under Sections 336, 406,420, 468, 471 r/w.34 IPC. But, as on date, investigation is not completed.

4. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that every efforts will be taken to conclude the investigation at the earliest.

5. Right to speedy trial includes speeding up of investigation also. But, it is not one way. It is available not only to the accused, it is also available to the victim. Victim is interested to know the result of the case given by him.

6. In the circumstances, the respondent, namely, the Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Anti-Land Grabbing Special Cell, Tiruvallur District, is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.8 of 2015 within 4 months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file the final report before the concerned Magistrate.

7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
