ORDER
The prayer sought for herein is for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner representations dated 1/4
21.10.2020, 23.11.2020 and 04.12.2021 to release the GPF, Gratuity with interest and grant pension from the date of retirement with 18% interest to the petitioner.
2. The petitioner was working in the respondent Tamil Nadu Police Force from 25.05.1988. Lastly he was serving in the Idol Wing at Chennai totally he has served 18 years 6 months and due to health reasons, he requested permission for voluntary retirement, which was considered and granted to the petitioner with effect from 30.11.2006 and after his voluntary retirement, the petitioner has not been given any retirement and pensionary benefits. Therefore, in order to get the same, the petitioner has given a representation on 04.12.2021 and in order to consider the same, the present writ petition has been filed.

Stating the aforestated, Mr.M.S.Soundararajan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court to issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass orders thereon on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court and in that case the petitioner would be satisfied.

Heard Ms.P.Rajeswari, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents who would submit that, the said representation submitted by the petitioner to the respondents especially the 1st respondent would be considered and decided on merits within a time frame that may be stipulated by this Court.
5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for herein in this writ petition and having regard to the said submission made by both sides, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition with the following orders:
That there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.12.2021 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
