ORDER
The petitioner seeks a direction to register a case based on her complaint dated 11.05.2015.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor.
3. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, petitioner is running a school called 'Faith International Academy' in Chennai. She happened to come across one Joyce Victoriya Franklin. Petitioner believed her sweet words and https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
parted her nearly Rs.14 lakhs, ultimately, she cheated her and petitioner could able to get only Rs.4 lakhs, the said Joyce Victoriya Franklin continues to cheat the petitioner.
4. The alleged payment was in the year 2010. The complaint has been lodged only on 11.05.2015. There is appreciable delay in lodging the complaint. But, at the same time, there are allegations of cheating as against the said Joyce Victoriya Franklin.
5. In the circumstances, the first respondent, namely, Inspector of Police, V5,Thirumangalam Police Station, Chennai is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint of the petitioner, dated 11.05.2015 and if it discloses any cognizable offence, he take further action as per law and he must follow the Hon'ble Apex Court's decision in Lalita Kumari v. Govt. of U.P & Ors. in (2014) 2 SCC 1.
7.Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
