The petitioner has filed this Criminal Original Petition to call for the records relating to the FIR in Crime No.1027 of 2012 pending on the file of the first respondent police and quash the same.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.1027 of 2012, after completion of investigation, charge sheet was filed against the petitioner. Subsequently, after trial, the petitioner was also acquitted from the charges by judgment dated 29.02.2016 passed by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Kancheepuram in S.C.No.50 of 2014. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
3. Since the charge sheet has already been filed in Crime No.1027/2012 and the case ended in acquittal, nothing survives for adjudication in this matter. Hence, recording the submission so made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is also closed.
