The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aa), 4(1A), 14A of TNP Act in Crime No.537 of 2022, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that when the respondent on regular patrol, the petitioner was found to be in possession of 110 Litres of Pondy arrack. Hence, the case.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that the petitioner is ready to abide by any stringent conditions imposed by this Court. Therefore, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Per contra, the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner was found to be in possession of 110 Litres of Pondy arrack. He would further submit that there are 10 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsel and also taking note of the fact that there are 10 previous cases of similar nature as against the petitioner, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
