Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to consider the representation dated 26.11.2022 of the petitioner and to consequently direct the respondents to fill up the post of Panchayat Secretary 1/4

in Naduveerapattu Panchayat, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District at the earliest by following the due selection process.

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 & 2 to consider his representation dated 26.11.2022 and consequently direct the respondents to fill up the post of Secretary of the Panchayat in Naduveerapattu Panchayat, Panruti Taluk, Cuddalore District. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that the post of Secretary in the above said Panchayat has been vacant for the past four years. Therefore, the activities of the Panchayat got affected. In this connection, he submitted a representation to the 1st respondent on 26.11.2022, seeking his intervention for taking steps to fill up the post of Panchayat Secretary. The said representation has not been considered in accordance with law. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

3.Mrs.S.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for all the respondents.

4.In view of the limited prayer made by the petitioner regarding disposal of his representation, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.11.2022 and pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.With this direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
