ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation dated 04.07.2019 and with relevant documents to issue patta under the Tamil Nadu Patta Pass Book Act, 1986. 2.

Heard Mr.P.Vijendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Balathandayutham, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

The petitioner made a representation on 04.07.2019, seeking patta in respect of the land comprised in Survey No.184/4, to an extent of 3116 sq.ft, situated at Madipakkam, Sholinganallur, Chennai. On receipt of the request, the first respondent rejected the request made by the petitioner, by an order dated 23.09.2019, for the reason that the subject property is classified as "Nanjai Anaadeenam (Government Poramboke)". Therefore, the writ petition is infructuous.

However, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the order passed by the respondent, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the same. The respondent is directed to serve the copy of the order dated 23.09.2019 to the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
