As the petitioner's application under Section 6 of the Right to Information Act was rejected by the 3rd respondent, an appeal was preferred before the 2nd respondent. By letter dated 10.07.2015, the 2nd respondent has rejected the appeal filed by the petitioner and aggrieved over the same, further Second Appeal was preferred by the petitioner on 27.08.2015 before the 1st respondent. Now, seeking to expedite the said appeal, the present writ petition has been filed.

Mrs.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice on behalf of the respondents. By consent of both sides, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final hearing.

Taking into consideration the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without gong into the merits of the case, the 1st respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders on the said appeal preferred by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
