O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the 1st respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct the Festival and to take the Vinayagar Idol in procession on 03.09.2019.

2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent police.

3.Taking into consideration, the limited relief sought for in this petition, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner and grant permission to conduct the Festival. It is made clear that in sofaras the procession is concerned, it is for the police to decide the route and the petitioner has to strictly comply with the route suggested by the respondent police. It is also left open to the 3rd respondent to impose reasonable conditions and the petitioner is bound to comply with the same. The petitioner shall pay a cost of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to the respondent police towards police protection.

4.This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
