O R D E R

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction to the 2nd respondent to register a case based on the petitioner's complaint dated 30.12.2015.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has given a complaint to the first respondent on 30.12.2015 stating that on the undertaking given by the proposed accused, the petitioner, her son and daughter have jointly executed General Power of Attorney in favour of the proposed accused namely, Thangavel. On that basis, the proposed accused has paid some amount and he has to pay a balance sum of Rs.57,00,000/-. When the petitioner made a demand, she was threatened by the proposed accused. So the petitioner has lodged the complaint. But the respondents have not taken any steps to investigate the matter and register a case. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief.

3.Resisting the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, would submit that after receipt of the complaint, respondents enquired the matter and closed the complaint on 08.01.2016 as civil in nature.

4.Recording the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. It is left open to the petitioner to work out her remedy before the appropriate forum.
