ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of certiorari to call for the records of the second respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka. A4/177/2014, dated 31.12.2014 and to quash the same.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he has challenged the proceedings before the first respondent as against the proceedings of the 2nd respondent dated 31.12.2015 by way of an appeal. It is also brought to the notice of this court that along with the appeal, the petitioner also filed a stay petition in the appeal. However, according to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the first respondent has not passed any order in the stay petition.

3. Mr.T.N.Rajagopal, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents submitted that since the petitioner has already filed an appeal in January 2015 itself, the first respondent may be directed to dispose of the appeal, within a stipulated time.

4. Having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with first regard to the merits of the case, I direct the first respondent to dispose of the the appeal filed by the petitioner as against the proceedings of the second respondent dated 31.12.2014 in Na.Ka. A4/177/2014, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
