The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was elected as Vice President for the Vadamampakkam Panchayat on 28.10.2006. As the tenure of panchayat president and vice president is only 5 years, his tenure ended on 2011. In view of the same, nothing survives in the writ petition. Hence, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
