PRAYER:

Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, 1971 to punish the respondent herein for the willful disobedience and deliberate non compliance of interim order dated 30.08.2022 passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras in Crl.OP.No.15039 of 2021 and Crl.MP.No.8202 of 2021 according to law.

ORDER

This contempt petition has been filed to punish the respondent herein for the willful disobedience and deliberate non compliance of interim order dated 30.08.2022 passed by the Hon'ble High Court of Madras in Crl.OP.No.15039 of 2021 and Crl.MP.No.8202 of 2021, thereby directed the respondent to complete the investigation and close the FIR in crime No.263 of 2020 dated 29.07.2020.

2. However, the learned Public Prosecutor(Puducherry) submitted that the respondent is awaiting report from the forensic laboratory, Hyderabad in respect of comparison of signature of the petitioner. Therefore, the respondent could not able to complete the investigation.

3. Considering the above submission, on receipt of the report from the forensic laboratory, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation 2/4

and close the FIR in crime No.263 of 2020 within a period of four weeks thereafter. It is made clear that the Director, Government Examiner of Questioned and Document Bureau of Police Research of Development, GOI, Hyderabad is directed to send the above report to the respondent herein within a period of two weeks from today.
