PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of O.A. No.16 of 2014 filed under Section 63(b) of the Tamilnadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959 to declare the status of the hereditary office of the trustee of Arulmighu Senraya Perumal Thirukovil, Semmandapatti, Omalur Taluk, Salem District within a strict time frame fixed by this Court.

ORDER

Mr.M.Maharajan, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondent. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner seeks a direction to the respondent to consider and dispose of his application filed under Section 63 (b) of the Tamilnadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act, 1959.

3. Though the learned Special Government Pleader accepting notice for the respondent does not have any specific instruction as to the stage of the matter, a period of three months would be sufficient for the respondent to consider the application filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law.

4. Taking note of the fact that there no rival claims and that the petitioner's application under Section 63(b) of the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

said Act is pending, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner in O.A.No.16 of 2014 on merits and dispose of it accordance with law, after notice to all concerned, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
