This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2025.

2. The petitioner is a retired school teacher residing in the Vikiravandi Taluk, Villupuram District. The petitioner states that the 3rd respondent is operating Ashok wood workshop near her residence for two decades. The petitioner states that initially the workshop was manually operated but now it was operating with multiple machines generating excessive noise, vibrations and dust, causing significant nuisance and health hazards to the residents in the locality. Therefore, the petitioner several times orally requested the 3rd respondent, to relocate the workshop to a non-residential area, but the 3rd respondent failed to do so. Hence, the petitioner submitted a formal grievance to the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board and the same was forwarded to the Block Development Officer/2nd respondent on 08.05.2024 under Complaint No.F(01)-43. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted representations to the respondents on 06.03.2025. However, no action was taken till date and hence, the present writ petition was filed. 2/4

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the first respondent and the learned Additional Government Pleader for second respondent and perused the materials available on record. Notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with as no adverse order is passed against him.

4. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer sought for in the writ petition, I am inclined to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2025, and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, by affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as to the 3rd respondent.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
