Habeas Corpus Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus to direct the respondent to produce the corpus of the petitioner's husband namely Thatchanamoorthy, aged about 77 years before this Court and hand over the custody of the detenu to the petitioner.

O R D E R

(The Order of the Court was made by M. M.SUNDRESH,J.,) The petitioner is the wife of the detenue. Both the petitioner and the detenue are at the advanced age. It appears that the detenue was having a poor site and had in the past difficulties in reaching home. On many occasions, he was lost and thereafter, he was found. The investigation so far conducted has not revealed any information about the whereabouts of the detenue.

2.In such view of the matter, we are not inclined to keep this petition pending any longer. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed. However, the investigation would go on. If the detenue is found, the investigating officer shall produce him before the Jurisdictional Magistrate.
