ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to complete the registration of pending Document No.P/Pallavaram/274/2021 presented for registration on 21.10.2021 in respect of the property comprised in Survey No.276/5D bearing Plot No.1, situate at Selliyamman Kovil Street, Kilkattalai Village, Madippakkam Zone - II, Pallavaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District ad-measuring an extent of 290 sq.ft of RCC building in Ground Floor and 573 sq.ft of building in 1st floor totally with electricity service connection and other appurtenance attached thereon under 573 sq.ft undivided share of land out of total extent of 1466 sq.ft and to return the original sale deed forthwith.

Heard Mr.C.Prabakaran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Yogesh Kannadasan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.

The petitioner purchased the property comprised in Survey No.276/5D bearing Plot No.1, situate at Selliyamman Kovil Street, Kilkattalai Village, Madippakkam Zone - II, Pallavaram Taluk, Chengalpattu District ad-measuring an extent of 290 sq.ft of RCC building in Ground Floor and 573 sq.ft of building in 1st floor totally with electricity service connection and other appurtenance attached thereon under 573 sq.ft undivided share of land out of total extent of 1466 sq.ft, by the sale deed dated 21.10.2021, for valuable sale consideration in lieu of discharge of debt availed by the vendor i.e. Vijayakumar from the petitioner. It was presented for registration before the respondent on payment of necessary stamp duty and registration charges by the Receipt No.13966 of 2021. The respondent neither issued any check slip nor registered the same. 4.

Considering the same, the respondent is directed to pass order either to register the same or to reject the same, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
