PETITION under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the third respondent to cancel the wrong entry in the Office Register of Taluk Revenue Department, Sendurai with regard to Survey Nos.228/10A, 228/10B and 228/10C in Nakkampadi Village, Sendurai Taluk and to make corrections as per the guideline value of the Registration Department and issue separate patta with regard to Survey No.228/10C to an extent of 0.39.55 Ares to the petitioner within a stipulated period as fixed by this Court. ORDER

Mr.S.V.Duraisolaimalai, learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for the respondents. Heard both. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Seeking to cancel the wrong entries made in the revenue records, the petitioner sent a representation dated 17.5.2016 to the respondents. It is seen that the said representation has been forwarded to the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar as well as the Village Administrative Officer, Nakkampadi with a direction to consider the same and send a detailed report. The grievance of the petitioner is that there is a stalemate after the proceedings were issued on 28.7.2016 and that reasonable time may be fixed to consider his representation.

3. Considering the above, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the third respondent to initiate follow up action pursuant to the proceedings dated 28.7.2016, call for a report from the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar and proceed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 17.5.2016 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date, on which, the report is submitted by the Zonal Deputy Tahsildar. No costs.
