This petition has been filed to quash the FIR in Crime No.947 of 2016, on the file of the 1st respondent, viz., Inspector of Police, E3, Teynampet Police station, Chennai-600 018.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the 1st respondent Police have completed the investigation in Crime No.947 of 2016 and filed a final report before the learned XVIII Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, Chennai, in C.C.No.7925 of 2017. Therefore, the prayer sought for in this petition has become infructuous.

3.In view of the above submission, nothing survives in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed as infructuous. Connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
