Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the fifth respondent to implement the order dated 20.7.2006 of the first respondent and forbear the fifth respondent from engaging any contract labourers in the perennial nature of job in the fire and safety department of the fifth respondent.

ORDER

When the matter was taken up today, Mr.K.V.Ananthakrushnan, learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the matter has already been settled between the parties and he has also placed on record a memo dated 14.1.2015 to that effect along with the copy of the terms of settlement reached between the petitioner and the fifth respondent, more particularly, paragraph-21 of the settlement dated 12.8.2013 in respect of the issue raised in the present writ petition. The learned counsel appearing for the fifth respondent also does not dispute the said submission.

2. In view of the fact that the issue raised in the writ petition has already been resolved between the petitioner and the fifth respondent amicably, placing on record the memo dated 14.1.2015, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous.
