The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider their representation dated 15.07.2024 seeking modification of entry in Patta No.173 pertains to property situated in S.No.260/38 in Vishnupuram Village, Kudavasal Taluk, Tiruvarur District.
2. According to the petitioners, the above mentioned property originally belonged to their grandfather-Gopal Sastri and he had two sons namely G.Swaminathan and G.Krishnamoorthy. The petitioners are the sons of G.Krishnamoorthy. The respondents 4 to 6 are legal heirs of G.Swaminathan. It is the case of the petitioners that the patta for their ancestral property in S.No.260/38 stands only in the name of Swaminathan in Patta No.173. Therefore, the petitioners submitted a representation to the official respondents on 15.07.2024 seeking correction in the patta by including the name of their father-G.Krishnanoorthy or his legal heirs. The same has not been considered by the official respondents till date. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.
3. Mr.U.Baranidaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is 2/4
taking notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the representation of the petitioners dated 15.07.2024 will be considered by the 3rd respondent on its own merit, after hearing the private respondents.

In view of the same, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioners, this Court is inclined to direct the 3rd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.07.2024 and pass final orders on its own merit, after issuing necessary notice to the respondents 4 to 6, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
