This petition has been filed by the petitioners seeking for a direction to the respondent police not to harass the petitioners.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners sent a representation to the Inspector of Police, Azhagapuram Police Station on 18.10.2021, but no action has been taken till date, instead the petitioners were unnecessarily called for enquiry and being harassed.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent submitted that on the earlier complaint lodged against the petitioners in CSR.No.630 of 2019 was assigned and enquiry was conducted and closed and now for the current paper received in C.No.773 /2021, petitioners were called for enquiry. He further submitted that in the meanwhile, the petitioners filed an anticipatory bail application which was dismissed on the ground that no petition is pending against the petitioners. He further submitted that the veracity of the complaint has to be verified for which the appearance of the 2/4

petitioners before the respondent police is necessary.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner on instructions submitted that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police on 03.01.2022.

4. In view of the same, the petitioner is directed to appear before the jurisdictional police on 03.01.2022, along with copy of the representation dated 18.10.2021 along with relevant documents and thereafter the jurisdictional police shall conduct enquiry and act in accordance with law.
