Respondent in all the writ petitions Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondent herein to receive the application Forms CCPA dated 17.08.2016 ; 19.08.2016 and 18.08.2016 together with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the vehicles Nos.TN-05-AE-3045 ; TN-05-AH-4412 and TN-05-AH-5248 respectively forthwith.

For Petitioners in all WPs : Mr.A.Ganesan For Respondent in all WPs : Mr.V.S.Ramesh, GA COMMON ORDER Heard Mr.A.Ganesan, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.V.S.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate accepting notice on behalf of the respondent and with the consent on either side, the writ petitions are taken up for final disposal. The petitioners have filed these writ petitions praying for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to receive the applications in Form CCPA dated 17.08.2016 ; 19.08.2016 and 18.08.2016 respectively with prescribed fees and grant the Maxi Cab Permit in respect of the Vehicles bearing Registration Nos.TN-05-AE-3045 ; TN-05-AH-4412 and TN-05-AH-5248 respectively, forthwith.

The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a need for more Maxi Cab on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their Permits.

In any event, as the petitioners' applications have not been received by the respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the respondent to receive the petitioners' applications, consider the same and pass order on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date on which the applications are presented, along with the copy of this order.

The writ petitions are disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
