Respondent Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioners that they belong to "Kurumans (ST) Community" based upon the proceedings of the State Level Scrutiny Committee passed in favour of the 1st petitioner in proceedings No.3053/CV - 2/2015-5 dated 30.03.2015.

ORDER

(Order of the court was made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Prathapkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, who is directed to take notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. The writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to issue community certificate to the petitioners that they belong to "Kurumans (ST) Community" based upon the proceedings of the State Level Scrutiny Committee passed in favour of the 1st petitioner in proceedings No.3053/CV - 2/2015-5 dated 30.03.2015. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The case of the petitioners is that they belong to Kurumans (ST) Community and the first petitioner's communal status was already verified by the State Level Scrutiny Committee and it was found that he belongs to such community and whileso, the petitioners' application to the respondent requesting issuance of community certificates to them is still pending for consideration.

4. According to the petitioners, the application was filed for issuance of community certificates stating that they belong to Kurumans (ST) Community for their education purpose and other aspects wayback in September 2014 itself and the same is still pending consideration. Therefore, it is for the *the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tirupattur, Vellore District to seek for verification of the records and also to do the needful in issuing the community certificates, within one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is for the petitioners to submit all the necessary documents in this regard to the said authority. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
