ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing respondents 2 and 3 to implement the order passed by the first respondent in "Annaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam-II" (2023-2024) in Na.Ka.A9/1024/2023 dated 27.6.2023 and consequently to direct the respondents to provide concrete cement road in Moolkkadu Panchayat in Amman Nagar, Sedhu Nagar Cross Streets and Masakalipatty Erangkadu Cross Street
on or before the period to be directed by this Court.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that the residents have requested the respondent authorities to lay cement road in Moolkkadu Panchayat in Amman Nagar, Sedhu Nagar Cross Streets and Masakalipatty Erangkadu Cross Street and, based on the said request, the first respondent approved forming a concrete cement road under the "Annaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam" and had also allotted funds to the second respondent. However, till date, the said order of the first respondent was not implemented by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.
3. Learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions from Mr.P.Jaganathan, Panchayat Secretary (in-charge), Moolakkadu Panchayat, Venanthor Block, Namakkal District, who is present in Court, submitted that within four weeks the cement road in Moolkkadu Panchayat in Amman Nagar, Sedhu Nagar Cross Streets and Masakalipatty Erangkadu Cross Street will be laid.
4. Learned counsel for the petitioner is content with the statement made by learned Additional Government Pleader.
5. Recording the submission made by learned Additional Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to lay cement road in Moolkkadu Panchayat in Amman Nagar, Sedhu Nagar cross streets and Masakalipatty Erangkadu cross street within a period four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
