ORDER

This petition has been filed by the petitioner for issuing a direction to the 2nd respondent/Superintendent to provide healthy food to the detenue viz., C.Periyasamy, S/o. Chinnasamy, aged about 43 years life convict No.6445, facing HIV/AIDS and detained at Central Prison, Salem.

2. Today, when the case is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel for Government of Tamil Nadu (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents submitted that he has produced the letter No.6445/Tha.Ku3/2021, dated 13.07.2021 addressed by the Jail https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Superintendent, Central Prison, Salem, stating that the petitioner was providing with healthy food, clothes, shelter and other facilities as applicable to the detenues.

3. On perusal of the letter dated 13.07.2021 produced by the learned Counsel for the respondents indicates that the petitioner was providing healthy foods which includes namely (i) Milk 300 ml, (ii) Egg 1, Sugar 80 gm daily and also 0.115 gm chicken three days in a week.

4. In view of the said letter dated 13.07.2021 produced by the learned Counsel for the respondents, hence, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
