Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to dispose the petitioner's representation made on 23.07.2016 and to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner to the property an extent of 1750 Sq.ft comprised in Survey No.120/4B, Door No.64/1, Lattice Bridge Road (Muthulakshmi Salai), Thiruvanmiyur Village.

Heard Mr.G.Ranganathan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.Chinnadurai, learned Government Advocate, accepting notice on behalf of respondent. With the consent of the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for disposal.

2. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to dispose the petitioner's representation made on 23.07.2016 and to issue a patta in favour of the petitioner to the property an extent of 1750 Sq.ft comprised in Survey No.120/4B, Door No.64/1, Lattice Bridge Road (Muthulakshmi Salai), Thiruvanmiyur Village.

3. Unless and until the petitioner produces documents to show that his father and grandfather are the lawful owners of the property by producing patta issued in their favour, the question of granting or issuing patta to the petitioner does not arise. Hence, the relief sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted.

4. Accordingly, the above Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
