This writ petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent herein to conduct enquiry on the petition dated 21.04.2025 submitted under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act.
2. The petitioner is a senior citizen and is in joint possession of the lands measuring to an extent of 1.68 acres in S.No.815 in Polivakkam Village. The petitioners relatives without getting the petitioner signatures in the General Power of Attorney, on the basis of General Power of Attorney maneuvered to obtain a registered sale deed in their favour. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation on 21.04.2025, to the second respondent under the Maintenance and Welfare of the Senior Citizen Act, for appropriate action by the respondents, against them. However, as no action was taken, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record. With consent of both counsels, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

In view of the above facts and circumstances of the case and the limited prayer in the writ petition, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent, to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 21.04.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
