The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking for a direction, directing the respondent to file a final report (including DNA) in Crime No.2731 of 2015, which was registered on 02.09.2015.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that on the basis of the complaint given by one Saroja, a case has been registered in Crime No.2731 of 2015 on the file of the respondent police, for the offences punishable under Sections 5(o) and 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offeces Act, 2012, and 376, 506 (i) and 201 IPC. But, the respondent has not shown any interest to conduct DNA test and file a final report. Now, the victim is aged about 14 years and she is in the adoption agency. Therefore, the petitioner has come forward with this petition for the above stated relief. 3.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigation is almost over and for DNA Test, which has been sent for Forensic Department, due to flood, machineries have been damaged and awaiting for the machineries to be imported from Australia. Hence, they are unable to conduct DNA test and file a final report and hence, he seeks for time to complete the investigation and file a final report. 4.Considering the submissions made on both sides that almost the investigation is over and due to flood, the machineries have been damaged, the respondent police is directed to file a final report within a period of two months from the date of installation of the machineries in the Forensic Department.

The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
