This petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No.166 of 2016 pending before the Court of Judicial Magistrate No.II, Puducherry.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted

that the when the matter was listed for admission on 02.02.2017, on that day, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought adjournment of the matter by two weeks. Thereafter, the learned counsel for the petitioner has not any steps to list the matter. This matter has been pending for the last three years. Therefore, it shows that the petitioner has no interest to proceed the case further.

3.Considering the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this court is of the view that the prayer sought for in this petition is liable to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
