It is a case of murder and abscondance. The petitioner, who was a room mate of the deceased, on suspicion, been arrested and he was in jail for the past 70 days.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State opposed the bail petition on the ground that this petitioner after committing the crime fled from the scene of occurrence. He was secured later based on the CCTV camera footage. The blood stained iron rod used by the accused to commit the crime was recovered, based on the confession statement given by the accused. It is stated that the petitioner is a resident of Ramnad district and the crime been committed at Puducherry. Grant of bail before completion of investigation may tamper the witnesses.

Recording the above submission, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
