ORDER

This Petition is filed seeking direction to respondents to provide 24-hours armed security to the petitioner. 2.Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is an agriculturist and politician. He has political rivals and apprehend threat to his life at the hands of his rivals.

3.Considering the threat to his life, petitioner was provided with police protection from 2013 till March 2022. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Thereafter, protection has been withdrawn by the respondents. Therefore, this petition.

4.It is submitted that petitioner gave representation to the respondent dated 11.03.2017, to the Superintendent of Police, Krishnagiri District for providing police protection. 5.Learned Additional Public Prosecutor seeks time to file counter. However, it is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, it is enough if the petitioner's representation is ordered to be considered and pass orders, taking note of the threat.

6.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 12.11.2021, with regard to claiming police protection, and pass orders based on the threat perception. Representation is to be disposed within the period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, Writ Petition in W.P.No.25975 of 2021 is disposed of. No costs.
