Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, praying to direct the respondent herein viz The Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Tiruvallur, Tiruvallur District to complete the investigation and file a final report in the above case in Crime No.07 of 2015 on his file dated 16.06.2015 before the concerned court within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has come forward with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent herein viz., The Inspector of Police, District Crime Branch, Tiruvallur, Tiruvallur District to complete the investigation and file a final report in the above case in Crime No.07 of 2015 on his file dated 16.06.2015 before the concerned court within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

2.Heard the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on either side.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner dated 16.06.2015, a case has been registered in Crime No.07 of 2015 for the offences punishable under Sections 406 and 420 IPC. However, the respondent has not shown any interest to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

investigate the matter and lay a final report. Hence, the petitioner has come up with the present petition for the relief as stated above.

4.Resisting the same, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that investigation is going on and hence, he prays for six months time to complete the investigation and file a final report.

5.Considering the submissions made on both sides, the respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.07 of 2015 and file a final report, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
