Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to receive the settlement deed, dated 28.05.2025, and register the same within a stipulated period of time.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed, praying for a mandamus to direct the respondents to receive the settlement deed, dated 28.05.2025, and register the same.

2. Learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondents, would submit that the present writ petition is premature, inasmuch as there is nothing to indicate that the petitioner has presented the settlement deed nor has it been refused to be registered. In any event, he would submit that the petitioner may present/re-present the above document before the respondents and, on such presentation/re-presentation, the same would be considered and registered, if it is found to be in order.

3. In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to present/represent the document in question before the respondents and, on such presentation/re-presentation, the respondents shall register the same, if it is found to be in order. If, for any reason, registration is sought to be refused, the respondents would assign reason for refusing registration.

4. Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs. 29.07.2025
