PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to call for the records pertaining to the FIR in Crime No.491 of 2017 and the Final Report filed on 22.11.2021 in CC.NO.34 of 2021 in Crime No.491 of 2017 pending before the Additional Special Court for Trial of Criminal Cases related to Elected Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly of Tamilnadu and quash the same. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to the First Information Report and Final Report filed on 22.11.2021 in CC.NO.34 of 2021 in Crime No.491 of 2017, pending before the Additional Special Court for Trial of Criminal Cases related to Elected Members of Parliament and Members of Legislative Assembly of Tamilnadu and quash the same.

2. Already this Court vide order dated 03.12.2021 in Crl.O.P.No.23524 of 2021, had quashed C.C.No.34 of 2021 in Crime https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

No.491 of 2017 against the petitioner and all other accused. However, this petition seeking for the same relief has been listed. Since the relief sought for in this petition to quash the proceedings of C.C.No.34 of 2021 was already been granted as quashed, no further order is required to be passed in this petition. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition has dismissed as infructuous. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are also closed.
