of Tamil Nadu Government Gazette supplement dated 20.09.1995 in part II Section 2 at page 3 and it's consequential proceedings of 4th respondent in Na.Ka.Ah/121/1993 dated 15.05.2006 with respect to patta No.287 in Dry R.S.No.79/1, 0.85 cents bounded on the North by R.S.No.80, East by R.S.Nos.80 & 81 South by R.S.No.79-2A-1 West by R.S.No.57 & 58 at Narasingarayan Pettai Village No.158 Gingee T.K., V.R.P. District and to quash the same as illegal, unconstitutional, incompetent and without jurisdiction with a direction to the 4th respondent to drop the said acquisition proceedings of the petitioner's land.

O R D E R

The writ petition has been instituted questioning the acquisition notification issued in the year 1995.

2. The writ petition itself was filed after a lapse of about 9 years from the date of notification in the year 2006. Now 17 years had lapsed from the date of filing of the present writ petition and 26 years lapsed from the date of issuance of notification for acquisition of land for the welfare of the homeless Adi Dravidar people.

3. On account of efflux of time, the grounds raised in the writ petition lost its relevance. If at all any grievances exist for the petitioner with reference to the acquisition proceedings, the petitioner is at liberty to pursue the matter in the manner known to law.

4. With this liberty, this Writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. 24.07.2023 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order
