The appellant, who was found guilty and convicted by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate/ Special Judge, Krishnaigir District, Krishnagiri, for the offences punishable under Sections 7 and 13(2) read with 13(1)(d) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988, in Spl.C.C.No.02 of 2010 dated 30.06.2017, has filed the present Criminal Appeal . 2.Today, Mr.V.Rajamohan, learned counsel appeared before this Court and submitted that he has already filed a memo of withdrawal of appearance dated 02.11.2023 and the same may be recorded.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent submitted that notice had been issued to the appellant on 25.06.2024 and the husband of the appellant addressed a communication dated 20.07.2024 to the office of the Public Prosecutor stating that the appellant died on 22.01.2024 and he has also enclosed a copy of the death certificate of the appellant.

4. The memo dated 02.11.2023 filed by Mr. V.Rajamohan, learned counsel is taken on record.

5. Recording the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), this Criminal Appeal stands dismissed as abated. The communication dated 20.07.2024 of the husband of the appellant shall form part of the record.
