Heard Mr.A.Sundaravadhanan, learned counsel is appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.N.Thambidurai, learned Additional Government Pleader, accepting notice for the respondents and with the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2.This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the respondents by deleting the petitioner's name in Alamarathu Patti Village, Mettur Taluk and include the petitioner's name in the electoral list in Ward No.6, Veerakkalpudur Town Panchayat, Mettur Taluk,Salem District by considering the For-6 Application resubmitted by the petitioner on 27.08.2016. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that while entering his name in Electoral Roll, the village name has been wrongly mentioned as Veerakkalpudur Town Panchayat. In this regard, a representation has been given by the petitioner on 15.09.2016 to consider her Application, which was re-submitted on 27.08.2016. This representation is pending before the third respondent. 4.

In the light of the above, there will be a direction to the third respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2016, verify the particulars and if the incorrect village name has been mentioned, appropriate corrections shall be made in the Electoral Roll, on or before 26.09.2016, because said date is the date, fixed for release of supplementary list. The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
