O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for direction to the respondents to pay Special Pension along with arrears to the petitioner for her services rendered as Cook Assistant in the Puratchi Thalaivar MGR Nutritious Meal Programme by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.07.2023.

It is seen that the petitioner has been retired as Noon Meal Cook Assistant from 28.03.2022. Now she submitted representation seeking pension.

The learned counsel for the respondents submitted that as per G.O.Ms.No.23 Social Welfare and Nutritious Meal Programme (SW7-2) Department dated 20.02.2016, the person who retired in the category of Noon Meal Organizers, Cooks/Cook Assistants and Anganwadi workers are entitled to get pension only with effect from 15.09.2008.

Therefore, in view of the said Government Order, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
