O R D E R
The present criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to entrust the First Information Report No.9/2013 pending on the file of the 1st respondent to CBI or CBCID, for investigation in respect of various offences committed by the accused persons. 2.The petitioner lodged a complaint on 30.04.2013 as against one Manivannan and C.Mutlure Chidambaram for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 420, 465, 468 and 471 of IPC and the same has been registered in Crime No.9 of 2013 by the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
1st respondent-police. But, till date there is no progress in the investigation. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present criminal original petition seeking to transfer investigation from CBI to CBCID and file a final report . 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that A1 and A2 were arrested and that A3 and A4 have granted anticipatory bail. Further, he submitted that the investigation is in progress.
4.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
5.In view of the submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, there is no need to entertain the prayer made in the petition. Hence, this criminal original petition is dismissed. However, the first respondent-police is directed to expedite the investigation in Crime No.9 of 2013 and file a final report as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
