ORDER
The present criminal original petition has been filed to call for the records pertaining to Crime No.1156 of 2011 pending on the file of the respondent police and quash the same as illegal, incompetent and without jurisdiction.
2. Today, when the matter was taken up for consideration, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that in the case in Crime No.1156 of 2011, an enquiry was conducted and during the course of enquiry, both the parties appeared before the first respondent police and submitted that they arrived at a settlement and the second respondent / de facto complainant has also given a letter dated 3.1.2017 to that effect to the first respondent police.
3. In view of the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, I am of the opinion that nothing survives in this petition for adjudication. Hence, recording the said submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, the present criminal original petition is closed.
