praying to issue a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the impugned order dated 05.11.2024 in O.Mu.No.3601/A5/2024, on the file of the 3rd respondent and quash the same, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to accord approval to the appointment of the petitioner Mr.A.Simon Robert, as Night Watchman in the 4th respondent St.Mary's Girls' Higher Secondary School, New Market, Kotagiri, Nilgiris District - 643 217, w.e.f. 10.06.2024, with all monetary and other service benefits.

ORDER
When the matter is taken up for admission, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents 1 to 3 submitted that the petitioner's proposal was not rejected, but only a clarification was sought. In this connection, the learned Special Government Pleader would invite the attention of this Court about the letter dated 29.11.2022 issued by the 2nd respondent, the Chief Educational Officer wherein it is indicated in Column 31 that the sanctioned post is for a Watchman, while the petitioner had sought approval for the post of Night Watchman. Therefore, it is submitted that if the petitioner submits a fresh proposal seeking approval for the posts of Watchman, the same would be considered in accordance with law 2/5
within a reasonable time.
2. Recording the submission made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the petitioner is given liberty to submit a fresh proposal for his appointment as a Watchman in the 4th respondent School within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Upon receipt of such proposal, the respondent is directed to consider and grant approval within a further period of two (2) weeks.
3. With the above observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions stand closed. 23.07.2025 (1/2) ssi Index : Yes Speaking Order : Yes /No To:
