2. It is not necessary for a victim to file a leave petition, in the light of the judgment in Mallikarjun Kodagali (dead) rep. through legal representatives Vs. State of Karnataka and Others [(2019)2 SCC 752]. Therefore, this petition is closed.

Registry is directed to number the appeal, if the same is otherwise in order and post 'for admission' on 08.02.2022.
