Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to directing the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioners and other eye witnesses who are facing deadly threats from the accused in Crime No.185 of 2017 registered under Sections 294 (b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC registered on the file of the first respondent on 20.01.2017. ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to provide police protection to the petitioners and other eye witnesses who are facing deadly threats from the accused in Crime No.185 of 2017 registered under Sections 294 (b), 323, 324 and 506(ii) of IPC registered on the file of the first respondent on 20.01.2017.

2. Now, almost three years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. However, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh petition, on fresh cause of action, if so advised. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. With the above observations, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
