O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to quash the Proceedings, in C.C.No.202 of 2016, pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, for the offence under Sections 341, 506 (i) of the Indian Penal Code.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the second respondent was appeared, before this Court, through Virtual hearing.

3. An affidavit, dated 4th January 2022, was filed, wherein it is stated that the entire dispute arising between the defacto complainant and petitioner has come to an end in an agreeable manner.

4. In such a view of the matter, nothing survives for further adjudication. Hence, continuing the prosecution is a futile exercise.

5. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is allowed. Proceedings in C.C.No.202 of 2016, pending on the file of the Judicial Magistrate, Ambattur, is quashed. Affidavit filed by the defacto complainant shall form part of the records. Consequently, the connected Criminal Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
